Good to Know

Frequently Asked

How many people can come along?

All trips are priced for up to two participants unless the trip description says otherwise. If you have a bigger group, call and we will work something out.

Do I need a fishing license?

Yes. Every angler 17 and older needs a current Michigan fishing license. You can buy one in a couple of minutes on the Michigan DNR website before your trip.

What if the weather turns?

Safety comes first. If conditions make it unsafe to fish, we will reschedule you for another day. Michigan weather changes fast, so the call sometimes comes the morning of.

I have never fished before. Is that a problem?

Not at all — that is a big part of why N&T Outfitters exists. Trips run for every skill level, and the Kids Fishing Lesson is built specifically for young or first-time anglers.

Do we keep the fish?

Bass trips are typically catch and release. Walleye and perch trips are the ones to book if you want to take fish home for the table. Talk it through with the captain when you book.

How do I lock in a date?

Call or text the captain directly — that is the fastest way to see what is open. You can also send an email and he will get back to you with available dates.
